Rains poured throughout Kodagu district on Thursday. While some places received heavy showers, some places received light showers.

At Talacauvery, Bhagamandala, Napoklu, Murnadu, Madikeri, Suntikoppa, Shanivarasanthe, Kodlipete, Ponnampete, Gonikoppalu and Kodagu received heavy rains while Somvarpete and Kushalnagar experienced light showers.

In Madikeri, rains were heavy after 2.45 pm, which affected normal life in the area.

People carried umbrellas to shield themselves from the untimely rains.

Dark clouds hovered over the district and rains poured even in the evening, sources informed.
