Elaborate arrangements have been made for the information campaign ‘Bharata Nirmana’ which is being jointly organised by the Information and Publicity Department of the Central government from Friday.

Information Department officials under the leadership of Information and Publicity Department Director M Nagendraswamy, ZP member V P Shashidhar, ZP CEO K R Sundar, Deputy Secretary Zulfikar Ulla and Town Panchayat President Parvati, people’s representatives, leaders of various associations, political leaders, officials of various departments participated in the preparations on Thursday.

A preparatory meeting was held at Government Model Primary School on Thursday wherein people’s representatives, various associations and officials discussed about the campaign. A decision was taken at the meeting to take out a procession depicting the cultural richness of the district from Field Marshal K M Kariappa circle on Friday at 10 am. The meeting also discussed about the stalls to be opened by various departments during the five-day event, exhibition, seating arrangements, drinking water facility and maintaining cleanliness.
An elaborate stage has been set up at Government Model Primary School ground for the programme, while stalls are also being set up. Arrangements have been made to facilitate women’s SHGs and unions to keep their products on display.

A large number of pamphlets, banners and flexing boards have been placed at prominent places to publicise the information campaign. MP D V Sadanand Gowda will preside over the campaign on Friday,
