Plan Responsible For Exchange Drain
New Delhi, Mar 20.
A statement on the fall in India’s foreign exchange reserves, laid on the table of the Lok Sabha today attributed the drain on these resources to the attempt to carry out the Second Five-Year Plan.
The outstanding foreign exchange commitments on government and private account as on March 31, 1958 was Rs 864 crores, according to the statement prepared by the Planning Commission.
‘Kashmir, Our Integral Part’
Lucknow, Mar 20.
The two-day all-India Muslim legislators convention concluded here today after unanimously adopting a resolution declaring that Kashmir was legally and constitutionally an integral part of the Indian Union and that Pakistan must vacate the aggression being committed by it from that part of the country.

Consensus On Council Of CMs
Bangalore, Mar 20.
The first-ever meeting of the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Pondicherry held in the City today unanimously decided to constitute a Council of Chief Ministers of Southern States to discuss and to sort out matters of common interest from time to time.
Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde, said he was grateful to NT Rama Rao, MG Ramachandran and D Ramachandran for their response.
