The road show was for the 2008 Budweiser Cup six-on-six final scheduled at Old Trafford in Manchester. This was one chance for the amateur footballers to register so that they could compete, win and then play at the finals, which will be held at Manchester United’s Old Trafford. For the finals, 18 teams from around the world will compete. This once-in a lifetime opportunity was launched in India for the first time. Local amateur teams of six-a-side competed for the right to represent India in the Budweiser Cup finals.

With the custom-made truck arriving at the Garuda Mall, the road show turned into a visual spectacle with the cheer leaders dancing in sync. The truck opened out with a scene from the Old Trafford. Questions on football were also volleyed at the crowds.The road shows were also held in Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Manipal, Mangalore and Mysore earlier. It will also be organised at Hyderabad and Vizag.
