Exhibition of sculptures

Time and Space Art Gallery is hosting an exhibition of ceramic sculptures by G Reghu till March 26 at the gallery. For details call 32969412, 22124117.

Exhibition of paintings ‘Lord Ganappa’ by various artistes at Sadhwani’s iART is on till April 14. Sadhwani’s iART is located at No 49, 11th Main, 17th Cross, Near Si Chhaya Nursing Home, Malleswaram West.

Wildlife paintings

Magnitude Gallery’s ‘Rang De India’ celebrations will have its second exhibition named ‘Junglee’ till March 31 based on the wildlife of India. The exhibition will be at 140/13, 27th cross, 13th main, 3rd block, Jayanagar between 10 am to 8 pm. Contact 9900117201.

DANCE

Classical recital

The Smriti Nandan Cultural Centre in association with Natyalakshana is organising an Indian classical dance recital and workshop series featuring Guru Adyar Lakshman from Chennai and his students and ‘Haratanatyam by his disciple Susheela Mehta on March 22 at 6 pm and and special dance workshop with the Guru on March 23 from 9 am to 1 pm. Ballads From Beyond

The Bangalore School of Music, Dockers San Francisco and Air Partner Radio Indigo will present ‘Ballads from Beyond’ by Sascha Otten of Germany on March 22, 7 pm at the BSM East West Centre. Sascha Otten is a German singer and songwriter. He has composed countless number of songs and instrumentals. In his concerts, he concentrates on the performance of his lyrical ballads and adds some salt from his other works. The programme includes some well-known songs as ‘Can't help falling in love with you’, ‘The Head & the Heart’, ‘Always on my Mind’, ‘Pierrots Songs’. Entry by Donation Cards for the Outreach Project. Musical evening

Chiguru, a socio-cultural organisation, is organising a charity musical evening of vintage Hindi film hits in aid of Belaku Shishu Nivas on March 22 at RV Dental College, JP Nagar II Phase at 6.30 pm. It will be a three-hour show of Vintage Hindi songs of 50s to 70s presented by Ramya Cultural Academy, rendered by Dr Salim, Babloo Mukherjee, Mohan Joseph, Indra Shankar and Nagachandrika.

Donors’ tickets of Rs 100 to 150 and 250 are available at Butter Sponge Bakery (Basavanagudi) Calypso Music Store (Jayanagar) Om Medicals (BTM II Stage) and at Chiguru. Those interested can contact Chiguru on 9900112118.

Sapthak

`Sapthak’ is organising a music programme on March 22 at 5.30 pm. The programme will see flute recital by Prakash Hegde, tabla by Lakshmeesh Rao, vocal recital by Balachandran Nakod, harmonium by Vysamurthy Katti and tabla by Raghavendra Nakod.

Summer collection

Latha Puttanna will present ‘Shrishti’, her 2008 summer collection at Raintree on March 21 and 22 between 10 am to 7 pm. Television programme, documentary and corporate film-making company and also an organisation of creative mind is conducting a short term practical workshop in video and film editing from March 24 to April 2 at Gayathrinagar.
