Contemporary Indian wear

Want to look chic and savvy like your favourite actress, then ‘Tinsel Town’, is your chance. The exhibition that is on at the Safina Plaza showcases contemporary Indian wear.

The georgette sarees that come with sequin, colour stones and antique work, and in both bright and pastel hues, make for eye-catchy wedding and party wear. But if you are a cotton loyalist then check out the salwar suit section. From net, kutch and patch works to jute, there is a wide variety. While the sarees are priced anywhere between Rs 2,000 and Rs 13,000. The salwars range from Rs 1000-Rs 5000.

“All our clothes have been hand-picked from Kolkata. Designer Durge’s outfits are really unique,” says Kusum Mohonot, who along with Nikky Mohonot has organised the expo.

You don’t have to shop hop for jewellery either as the duo have exhibited traditional yet contemporary jewellery sets. The one-gram gold semi precious stones studded earrings and neck pieces on display are priced anywhere between Rs 2,000 and Rs 12,000. The Jhumkas that are exhibited make for a good pick.

Kurtas, bed sheets and spreads, and tunics are also up for sale at this exhibition that will be on till March 23. So what are you waiting for ? Go pamper yourself with some exclusive designs and fabric.
