Muslims across the City are celebrating ‘Jashne-Id Milad Un Nabi’ today, which marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed, with pomp and fervour.

Processions by different Muslim organisations, public meetings are slated for the day and most Muslims see it as a time to reaffirm their faith in the teachings of Prophet Mohammed.

While biryani is made in every Muslim household, Kheer and Seviyan are made and distributed in large quantities at several Dargahs in the City.
