Flying start by Gangjee
Chonburi (Thailand), PTI:

Rahil Gangjee’s Asian Tour International campaign got off to a flying start with the Kolkata pro blasting six-under 66 to be tied fifth after the opening round here on Thursday.

Compatriots Gaurav Ghei and Amandeep Johl were tied 15th after turning in identical cards of four-under 68.
Korea’s Noh Seung-yul and Thailand’s Sattaya Supupramai took the joint lead after returning 64.

A 10th tee starter, Gangjee went on to slot birdies on the 13th, 15th, 17th and 18th holes to be four-under at the turn. He then made a birdie on the second and a birdie-bogey-birdie finish had him two shots off the lead.
Ghei, meanwhile, had a birdie-birdie start, after which he played some steady golf to make eight consecutive pars before picking up another couple of shots on the 11th and 13th.

He dropped a bogey on the 14th but made amends with a birdie on the 18th to close at four-under.
