The Balanjanaiha swamy ratostava was held with great pomp and show on Friday in the town. A number of cultural and religious programmes led by the president of the Balanjanaiha Swamy trust B L Krishnaiaha was held as part of the programme. There were similar programmes in other parts as well including Sri Someshwara Swamy Ratosava in Nambi halli, Sri Narasimhaswamy ratosava in Tadigol village and  Adiparashakti devi  ratosava  in Katthibisinahalli.  Despite the rains and cold weather people particpated in large numbers in these festivals.
