Summit Talks In Geneva
Washington, Mar 21.
The US government is preparing for a possible summit conference in Geneva in September, preceded by a Foreign Ministers’ Conference in June, it was learned here today. The preparations are contingent on a prior indication from the Soviet Union that real progress could be made of the summit on one or more of the great world problems, authoritative sources said.

Members belonging to all parties criticised government today for the delay in implementing the directive principle of the Constitution for the provision of free and compulsory primary education when the Lok Sabha today debated the Education Ministry’s demands for grants.

‘State’s Interests Will Be Protected’
Bangalore, Mar 21.
Chief Minister Rama krishna Hegde allayed in the State Assembly today fears of Karnataka getting a raw deal during his proposed discussions with Maharashtra Chief Minister Vasantdada Patil on the border dispute.
He said this in the assembly when Mr Bhimanna Khandre (Cong-I) raised the issue during the zero hour.
