Racing ahead

Abbas Mustan’s ‘Race’ has certainly raced ahead what with the film being marketed uniquely. The posters of ‘Race’ with Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif staring at you from the hoardings are a head turner. The songs and the promos splashed on television keeps the viewer glued to his seat. Reality shows have eagerly wanted to have the ‘Race’ team to be a part of the show. Their presence at the programmes has ensured a record-breaking viewer-ship thus increasing the TRPs of the show.

It has ignited interest and the territories have been sold at unbelievable price. ‘Race’ has left other films far behind. Director duo Abbas-Mustan are known to make fast-pace thrillers and glimpses of ‘Race’ promise an edge of the seat thriller. Katrina looks glamourous. Bipasha hot. And Akshaye and Saif clash sends one’s pulse racing.

‘Race’ is acknowledged by the industry the grandest and most widely publicised film. The ‘Want to see’ factor is high and is touted as the much awaited blockbuster of 2008. Raindrop Media has earlier been credited for their innovative strategies as Media Directors, for the most publicised film of the last three years like Main Hoon Na, YUVA, ‘Phir Milenge’, ‘Waqt’ - a race against time, ‘Garam Masala’, ‘Heyy Babyy’ etc.
