India's Karun Chandhok qualified second on Friday in the GP2 Series race, which is being held concurrently with the Malaysian Grand Prix here.
The iSport International driver's best qualifying result has been fourth in the first round at Dubai and his best finish in the race has been third in the same event. Chandhok timed 1:44.90 and was running fourth before recording that time. ART Grand Prix driver Romain Grosjean is in pole position with a 1:44.10. "It is good to be on the front row of the grid. In fact, we did a race setup for the car during the morning practice," Chandhok said. "Dubai was a good race but there were a lot of problems in the second round in Indonesia,” he added.
