Former CM and SP State President S Bangarappa has recently stated that they will tie-up with the JD (S).
“We don’t need to align with any party since we have candidates in all the 224 constituencies. But, we will abide by what the senior party leaders decide”, Kumaraswamy told reporters after a preparatory meeting of the leaders for the party convention to be held in Mysore on April 2.
The former chief minister also noted that they will declare the party manifesto only after the polls are announced, in tune with the development works that are supposed to be taken up in the State.
Jaitra yatra
HDK decided to extend his jaitra yatra from March 31 to April 10.
He has planned to again tour politically-important districts of Mysore, Chamarajnagar, Tumkur which had been bastions for the party. The party sources said that the campaign committee will be announced by this month end, while the JD(S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda is busy shortlisting candidates to contest the elections.
