‘Nuggets from Coorg’ released

From the Dawn of the Haleri Dynasty to the merger of Coorg (Kodagu) with Karnataka, the Nuggets from Coorg History, which was launched on Saturday encapsulates the history of the tiny landlocked district of Kodagu.

Authored by CP Belliappa, Nuggets from Coorg History traces the history of Kodagu from the year 1600 to 1856 in twenty engaging stories, as the author brings to life the dramatis personae who influenced and shaped the destiny of Kodagu. The book published by Rupa and Co, costing Rs 195 per copy, is the first concise chronicling of the history of Kodagu, written in English.
