He warned the government that if the government fails to find a solution to the problems of the grama panchayat employees they would be compelled to stage a statewide agitation.
Channabasavanna, who led the protest staged by the grama panchayat employees of Tiptur taluk, said that grama panchayat employees were like the main root of the administration.
Association President Gangadharaiah, who spoke on the occasion said that the employees have been struggling for the last 10 to 15 years.
It is not possible for one secretary to do the work of two of three grama panchayats, he added.
