Holi, the festival of colour, turned out to be a disaster for nine people in Orissa’s coastal Jagatsinghpur district on Saturday as they had to be rushed to the hospital after consuming spurious “Tadi”, a kind of country made liquor. They had fallen ill immediately after taking the spurious hooch.

They were initially admitted to the government-run Jagatsinghpur district headquarters health centre but had to be shifted to a hospital in Cuttack town.
