Karun Chandhok and Armaan Ebrahim crashed out of the first race of the GP2 Series here on Saturday.
Chandhok, who races for iSport International, was in 15th place just before going out. Ebrahim (DPR Racing) was running 14th. Due to heavy rain during the GP2 race, there were several retirements. The two Indians were involved in a minor collision and were forced out of the race. Barwa International Campos Team’s Vitaly Petrov won the race. Fairuz Fauzy (Super Nova Racing) and Jerome d'Ambrosio (Dams Racing) finished second and third.
The second race of the GP2 Series will be held on Sunday morning.
