Samajwadi Party is willing for a pre-poll tie-up with the JD-S and if the chemistry is worked out then it would become a headache for the Congress as well as the BJP, Samajwadi Party state president and former Chief Minister S Bangarappa said here on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters at his party headquarters at Gandhinagar where the World Women’s Day celebrations were organised along with Ramamanohar Lohia and Shanthavery Gopala Gowda memorial celebrations he said party supremo Mulayam Singh has even given consent to this alliance but the entire talk is at its infancy.
Mr Bangarappa said said the party had talks with JD-S state head Merajuddin Patel and former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.
“Our relations with JD-S supremo and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda is quite good. If the tie-up is worked out properly then the chemistry would be replayed in the Lok Sabha election as well”, he added.
About the constituency from where he would be contesting polls, Bangarappa said he had not made a decision yet.
