Illicit liquor seized, 2 arrested
DH News Service, Kunigal:
Two persons were arrested, and illicit liquor and other articles worth Rs five lakh were seized during a raid on a liquor unit at Arepalya village in Kunigal taluk.


On tip off CPI Balaramegowda, PSI Siddaraju and staff arrested two persons who were travelling in a four wheeler near Kottagere.  The arrested are identified as Manjunath of Chiganipalya and Manjunath of Bagenahalli.
The duo, after interrogation, led the police team to liquor unit at a farm house in Arepalya village. Three cans of spirit, three cases of illicit liquor and more than 200 empty bottles, labels and many other articles were seized.

The vehicle owner and main accused in the case Ramesh and owner of the farm house Gangaguddaiah have been absconding.
