Headmaster arrested

Kunigal, dhns: Headmaster, who was found stealing 50 kg of tur dal brought for the mid-day meal at a school, has been beaten up by the public and members of School Development Monitoring Committee at Yedeyuru on Saturday.

Headmaster Renukasiddhalingaradhya of Yedeyuru model higher primary school  allegedly came to school on Saturday with his relative, though it was a holiday.

An assistant cook, who saw the storehouse at the school open, got suspicious . He headed towards the storehouse and saw the headmaster with his relative there. He immediately informed the SDMC office-bearers about the headmaster who was stealing tur dal at the store house.

When the SDMC president Channamallegowda and Vice President Susheelamma, members Kumar and Srinivas arrived at the scene the headmaster was transporting the tur dal in a private vehicle. When they were inquiring the headmaster the public gathered and thrashed him.

The SDMC lodged a complaint against Renukasiddhalingaradhya, with the block education officer and the deputy director of the public education department.

Free mass marriage
