The villagers of Hunasanahalli in the outskirts of the Bangarpet were in a dilemma as they were unable to finish the work of construction of Sri Mariyamma temple. 

The work of construction of the temple was taken several years ago but had come to a standstill owing to the lack of funds.

It was then that a group of people came out with Sri Mariyamma lucky draw scheme under which 75 per cent of the money raised would go to the renovation of the temple, while the rest would be distributed as prizes.

Attractive prizes were distributed to winners at a simple ceremony held here on Sunday. The prizes were distributed by Chief Executive Officer of Bangarpet Taluk Panchayat Dr Venkataswamy.

Taluk Assistant Director of Akshara Dasoha Siddaraju, Taluk Panchayat Accountant Venkataram, Grama Panchayat President Rukmanamma were among those who were present on the occasion.
