The renowned London based writer Farrukh Dhondy has now been signed to write the script for a commercial Bollywood thriller, by the production company One More Thought Entertainment. Farrukh  has earlier written movies like ‘Mangal Pandey, The Rising’, ‘Kisna’, ‘American Daylights’, the Perizaad-Malcolm McDowell starrer EXITZ, ‘Take 3 Girls’ and host of other movies. Farrukh has also written several books, plays and television serials for the BBC and was the commissioning editor of Britain’s Channel Four, before he moved on to writing for movies, with Shekhar Kapur’s ‘Bandit Queen’.
While he has done action movies, this is the first time he will try his hands at a commercial Bollywood thriller. Speaking on signing of Farrukh Dhondy, Azam Khan, the executive director said, “it is our privilege to have Farrukh Dhondy who has scripted some of the best Bollywood and English movies on board with us.”
Currently, Farrukh is also involved in writing ‘Mahabharat’ for Star Plus. Apart from this he also has three films which include Deepa Mehta’s ‘Carpet Boy’, a French co-production to be shot in India titled, ‘Coffin Maker’ under the banner of his company Lucid Pictures.
