However, there was no relaxation in curfew in Chittorgarh, imposed after the incidents. Chittorgarh Superintendent of Police Mahesh Goyal said the situation was by and large peaceful Saturday evening.
However, as a precautionary measure there has been no relaxation in curfew, he said. There have also been no arrest so far in this connection, the SP said. A high-level meeting of top officials of the district was on to review the situation, sources said.
Meanwhile, in Tonk city the situation was peaceful on Sunday. The situation turned tense on Saturday during Holi celebrations when members of a particular community were taking out a Holi procession at Heera chowk and youth of another community allegedly used abusive language against them, police said.
