The officials from the hospital’s Management Committee gave a copy of the interim stay order brought from the High court to the officials and thus stopped their move to confiscate the property.
Background
Few days ago DC Subhod Yadav had given a order to recovery the land (survey number185 and measuring 1.28 acres) at Vapsandra stating that the land belonged to the City Municipal Corporation and during 2001-02 it was illegally transferred to CSI hospital.
Based on the orders of the DC tahasildar Poornima had sent a notice to the CSI hospital’s Managing Committee asking them to present a copy of the records which support their claim over the property within 21 days of the issuing of the notice.
On records shown
Though the deadline ended on the March 20 the hospital management failed to show any records favouring its claim. As a further action Tahasildar Poornima along with the police security went to confiscate the property on Monday.
The authorities were on the verge of completing the process of confiscation by erecting the nameplate reading Government property, when officials and staff members of the CSI hospital opposed their move and gave them a copy of the interim stay order, thus, stopping them from confiscating the property.
Tahasildar Poornima and other officials had to return obeying the court orders. She stated that no action will taken till the issue is settled in the court.
Criticised
Criticising the government’s move JD(S) leader P N Keshava Reddy said that the property had been in the control of CSI hospital from past 120 years and it had planned to construct a hospital exclusively for heart ailments.
He said that government at this stage shouldn’t create problems to the hospitals.
A larger number of ordinary people and people belonging to christian community and leaders had converged at the site.
