Fr Muller Medical College Hospital in collaboration with Rotary Club of Mangalore North will conduct a heart care camp at subsidised rates in the hospital premises from April 1 to 30, informed Fr Muller Medical College Hospital Cardiology department head Dr H Prabhakar.
Addressing media persons here on Monday, he said the camp was being conducted on the eve of the Founder’s Day in order to help the poor patients with concessional charges.
With the support of the Rotary Club and philanthropists, the hospital has come forward to help the poor heart patients for treatment and surgery at subsidised rates, he said adding that the registered patients would be given treatments like Coronary Angiogram, Coronary Angioplasty, by-pass surgery and correction of heart diseases in children.
As per the subsidised charges, the fee for a treatment, for example, will be fixed as Rs 60,000 as against the original Rs 95,000 or Rs 32,000 will be reduced to Rs 20,000, he explained.
Cardiologists Dr H Prabhakar, Dr Sayyid, cardiothoracic surgeons Dr Jayakrishnan and Dr Laxminarayan Achar of Fr Muller Medical College Hospital will lead the camp. Patients may register themselves by contacting Dr Sayyid on 94483 14375.
