Seduction considered an art is now a subject.
Singapore is now encouraging its students to learn seduction and boost the nation’s flagging birth rates. Students could earn two credits towards their final degree by choosing the ‘love’ elective. The activities included watching romantic movies, holding hands and analysing love songs.
“My teacher said if a guy looks into my eyes for more than five seconds, it could mean that he is attracted to me and I stand a chance,” the Straits Times quoted student Isabel Seet as saying. Besides love and sexuality, the curriculum also deals with the importance of family life.
The teachers are provided by the Social Development Unit that has married off 33,000 people since it was established in 1984. Student Kamal Prakash said though the course improved his relationship with his parents he is still single.
“I think most people who take the course would find it easier to get a girlfriend but I want to concentrate on my studies,” he said.
