Officer directed to resign

The State Government has directed C S Dwarakanath, chairman, Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes, to resign. Principal Secretary (Social Welfare Department) R B Agawane has written to Dwarakanath directing him to quit. Dwarakanath said no reasons have been given. “I am surprised by the caretaker government’s move”, he said. Dwarakanath said he will challenge the government’s decision in the High Court on Tuesday.
