The students of Class X of Sudarshan Vidya Mandir,Jayanagar, celebrated their graduation day at the well-illuminated Sudarshan Vidya Mandir grounds, Bannerghatta Road. The students were dressed in traditional attire.The evening began with a concert conducted by the students followed by lighting of lamp by the chief guest Mahpara Ali, the Chief General Manager of State Bank of India. The principal then initiated the lighting of the lamps of the class teachers of Class X who in turn lit the lamps of the students symbolising the spread of knowledge as the flow of flames warmed everybody’s heart. Ali appreciated the values inculcated by the students which was highlighted in their valedictory speeches in different languages. In her commencement address, she stressed on how the students are responsible for the progress of the nation.
The chief guest handed over the letters of appreciation to the deserving students while Hemaa Narayan, the Principal of Sudarshan Vidya Mandir Institutions handed over the special prizes which was won by Krishna Chaitanya, the school captain.
The management and staff of the school stood proudly as yet another batch of young people were ready to take on their collective future and the world.
