Programme for women entrepreneurs
Women Development Centre of Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women organised `cook and sell’ event on March 24 at its college campus. The main motive behind this event was to educate women regarding their rights.
The programme was held with an intention of educating young women entrepreneurs to develop marketing skills along with manufacturing, because developing marketing strategies, is very important for entrepreneurship. Participants learnt to make yummy gulab jamoons and chatpata pani puri. As many as 100 enthusiastic participants took part. Radhika Gupta, a successive entrepreneur herself was the chief guest. She worked as Managing Director of Stickon Systems and provided employment for many underprivileged. One of the participants said, "it was fun and it helped us improve our strength and expose our mind to different things."
Personality development
Bangalore University’s Yoga Centre is organising a summer camp for school children between the age group 10 - 15 years. The programme titled "Personality Development camp” will begin from April 1. This will be organised at the Yoga Centre, Jnana Bharathi Campus from 10.30 am to 1.OO pm for one month.
The programme aims to improve concentration, enhance memory, to train- students effectively to participate in group discussions, to develop healthy lifestyle and to cope effectively with daily stress through Yogasana, Pranayama and Meditation.
