Akin to Indira
Nagarahole, dhns:
Ravindra Nairs joy knew no bounds when he got an opportunity to serve Rahul. I had joined 32 years ago for a salary of Rs 150. Within three years of my joining, Indiraji came and stayed here.

Ask them if Rahul Gandhi is the future Prime Minister of the country, Siddashetty and Ravindra Nair both answers in the affirmative  will smile meaningfully. They are caretakers of the VIP cottage at the Cauvery Lodge, at Rajiv Gandhi National Park in Nagarahole.
Ravindra Nair’s joy knew no bounds when he got an opportunity to serve Rahul. “I had joined 32 years ago for a salary of Rs 150. Within three years of my joining, Indiraji came and stayed here. As a guest, she was a simple person. Her grandson is also much the same, except for the fact there are too many people around Rahul Gandhi as part of his security cover,” Ravindra recollects.
Siddashetty and Ravindra have been under constant vigilance of security men for the last few days. “Everything was tasted by security personnel before serving. Though we had a lavish spread Rahul just preferred a small portion of soup, rice, dal and fresh fruits for dinner. Next morning, he had idlis, sambar, sandwiches, fruits and a glass of juice. His grandmother Indira Gandhi had also preferred vegetarian food,” Ravindra Nair said.
