JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda and his son-former CM H D Kumaraswamy have begun the process of selecting the party candidates for the coming elections to the State assembly.
While Kumaraswamy, who is camping in a resort on the City outskirts for the last two days, holding consultations with leaders, Gowda along with his another son H D Revanna, on Wednesday, interviewed the ticket aspirants from Tumkur, Chickmagalur and Hassan districts, the party sources said. Ex-minister B B Ningaiah has expressed his willingness to contest in Chikmagalur constituency, while both former minister S L Dhame Gowda and the party spokesperson Y S V Datta are aspiring to contest from Kaduru constituency, sources said.
