Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Bangalore Urban DC M A Sadiq said that the voters’ list of the respective constituencies will be displayed in the respective taluk office, gram panchayat office, respective polling stations and other important places.
The new seven constituencies include Yelahanka (150), Yeshawanthpura (153), Mahadevapura (SC) (174), Anekal (SC) (177), Byatarayanapura (152), Dasarahalli (155) and Bangalore South (176). There are over 19,36,595 voters, of which 10,31,354 male voters and 9,05,241 female voters, he said.
Special campaign
As per the directions of Central Election Commission, inclusion of names to voter list or right of objection was a continuous process.
The district administration has taken up four-day special campaign on March 29, March 30, April 5 and April 6, in this regard. If there are any mistakes, the aggrieved person may fill up prescribed applications and submit the same along with supporting documents, to the Registrar of Voters or AERO in gram panchayat offices, Mr Sadiq added.
