City celebrates Aussie defeat
DH News Service, Bangalore :
For Bangaloreans the Indian Cricket team's thrilling win at Brisbane to clinch the tri-series on Tuesday is not just a mere victory for the team but for the entire nation...

The controversies on and off the field which has been dogging the team for the last three months has finally paved the way for a much deserved victory, they feel.

It was a responsible knock by the Master Blaster and it contributed to this great victory by the Indian team. After all the controversies, the team can come back home satisfied after defeating the ill-mannered Aussies.

-Neeraj Gupta

India has never won the tri-series in Australia. This is a well deserved victory after such a long and gruelling tour.
-Mrudula Sudarshan

The win is a fitting replay to the Aussies who have rubbed India on the wrong side throughout the series. The entire team played well, especially Tendulkar and Praveen Kumar in the finals. Every Indian should be proud of what this victory especially after what the Australian players and the media did to Bhajji.
-Mudit Chowdary

It’s a terrific performance by the Indian team and they deserve the victory. The Australians have resorted to all sorts of tricks to defeat our team but they have failed. Overall its a victory for cricket.

Cricket once again has proved that it can keep all indians together.
Also it is a boost to Indian Pschyce that we can achieve any thing in any part of the world.
It is also a message to all the Indians who are working outside the country in different parts of the world, that in adverse conditions you will always excel. Now the Indians should believe in themselves and in our country and truly India is emerging as the SUPER POWER in all the areas.

Since being in Germany for the 16 years I havenīt followed cricket at all, but thanks to Deccan Heraldīs Live Commentary, I have even been late up at night checking the scores on the internet. It was really worth keeping awake. I wish all other sports in India the same fantastic feeling!Thankyou Deccan Herald.
