Amid concerns here over the Hyde Act, the United States on Tuesday suggested that the "domestic" legislation would have to be taken into account in operation of the civil nuclear cooperation with India.

Failure would be a shame: US  
The US has reiterated its desire to see the "important and historic" India-US nuclear deal concluded as quickly as possible, saying it would be "a shame" if this opportunity was lost.
Chidambaram temple priests warned  
The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday warned of legal action against dikshitars (hereditary priests) of the ancient Nataraja Temple in Chidambaram if they tried to prevent singing of Tamil hymns by Odhuvars (reciters) in the temple.
