Road in bad condition
Sir, We, the residents of 10th cross Manorayan Palya, want to bring to your notice that this particular road is in a very bad condition although the primary work has been completed. Our main concern is the primary school located at the end of the road as children often play on the road and are bound to get hurt. Another cause of concern is that the senior citizens who live on both sides of the road. They avoid going out late in the evening as the road is uneven. Promises have been made on repairing the road but nothing has materialised. The authorities concerned are requested to take the necessary action to repair the condition of this road.

Parking at bus stops
Sir, The maxi cabs that are plying from Govardhan theatre bus stop towards Nelamangala are violating the rules by parking their vehicles in places which are meant for BMTC buses as bus stops. Because of this, the buses have to stop either before or after the stop which causes great inconvenience to us. This has also resulted in an increase in the number of accidents. We buy monthly passes and are deprived from boarding BMTC buses as these cabs obstruct us. Even the traffic flow has slowed down as these private buses stop every time some passenger puts his hand out. I request the authorities concerned to take action against these maxi cab owners.

Identity card charges
The identity card issued by the Railways, along with the season tickets, costs only One Rupee and is valid for seven years whereas the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) charges Rs 100 for the identity card which is valid for only three years. Being a public service organisation, the BMTC could charge Rs 10 for the identity card which will help those poor people who are dependent on buses. The monthly passes issued by the BMTC should be valid for 30 or 31 days as the case may be from the date of issue instead of the calendar month.
