Tijori Entertainment and Kaleidovision in collaboration with HT City, held a press conference at J W Marriott, to showcase the three winners of the first Annual Miss India Worldwide India pageant. The 17the Annual Miss India Worldwide India saw the pretty Shagun Sarabhai (India), a 20-year-old student of medicine crowned with the 2008 `Miss India Worldwide’ title in South Africa. Deepak Tijori said, “it is not restricted by banalities like physical shortcomings, therefore the absence of Height Criteria and Swim Suit rounds makes it different from the conventional pageants.” Ritu Jhingon, Vice President and Marketing of HT announced that the this global property is going to be bigger and better in the years to come. The audio visuals of the twenty young girls from all corners of India were screened. The second and the third runner up Pooja Kanwal (who had earlier acted in Rajshri's Uff Kya Jadoo Mohabbat Hai and Divya Parmeshwaran ( who incidentally is an engineering student from Bangalore ) looked extremely confident. For these young ladies the path to Bollywood if they so desire is all but paved as the pageant is co- presented by actor-director Deepak Tijori's company.
