Candidate's son in hit-and-run case
Bangalore, DHNS:
A 24-year-old scooterist sustained head injuries on Friday evening in the Basavanagudi traffic police limits after he was knocked down by a car.

The hit-and-run case allegedly involved the son of Chickpet constituency Congress candidate R V Devaraj.

The injured has been identified as Nagesh, a resident of Gavipuram and a cab driver with Scorpion Security Private limited. He has been admitted to a private hospital and is stated to be out of danger.

Devaraj’s son was reportedly driving the car (bearing registration number TN 23 AC 8668) when the accident occurred.

The police said the accused is absconding and the police have seized the car besides recovering cash around Rs 1 lakh, a dagger and several bundles of poll pamphlets of R V Devaraj.

The police were tight-lipped about the incident. A senior official, who visited the spot, requested not to hype the incident and cause problems for them.

GOD! Save KARNATAKA. With goons like R V Devraj and his son prowling on the street with Money and Daggers, how can you expect people to be benefited. After all Congress in Karnataka has never been clean, have they. Not that the others have been, it has been the same with Devegowda and BJP, but Congress and Devegowda have been the worst. BJP except being a cry-baby and foolish in letting the goon-Kumaraswamy take them for a ridce have done nothing of note.
