Kurubas back BJP

Tumkur, dhns: While lauding the BJP for ‘recognising the right leader’ by giving B K Manjunath a ticket to contest the assembly polls from Shira constituency, the Kuruba community has extended their support to Manjunath.

Kuruba leader and CMC opposition member Laksjminarasimharaju, CMC member Manjunath, 5th Ward BJP president M P Kumaraswamy, Raitha Morcha chief secretary Garudaiah, Tiptur BJP leader Ranganath Kachorappa, Rangappa, Shantaraju, Om Namo Narayanappa and N A Manjula Kumaraswamyhave extended their support to Manjunath.

Quits JD(S)
 
Veerashaiva Samaj president G R Shivakumar has said that he has quit the JD(S) and will now support the BJP.
“The dynastic politics of H D Deve Gowda has ensured that there is no internal democracy in the party. They have also betrayed the BJP, and this is why I am quitting the party , he said in a release.
