Garuda Mall, along with 'I AM', is celebrating its third anniversary from May 8 to 18 through adventure programmes at the mall for families and kids from five to 17. The event, being held In association with Radio City 91.1 FM, will bring out hidden talents. I Camp, a part of the 'I AM youth development programmes', has been designed to enhance teamwork, lateral thinking and creativity through maze-solving, obstacle negotiating, painting, dancing, rock climbing, fashion. ‘I AM’ helps individuals realise their potential by focusing on all-round development by linking educational opportunities with nature and outdoor training experiences. For instance, programmes for children and youth foster adventure, promote self-discipline and strong value system. Programmes for families stress on interaction and bonding. The facilitators are a team of experienced professionals.
The concept
The mall is turned into a playground and divided into three zones — Soft Adventure (on the outside on Macgrath Road), Team Building activities (on the Commissariat Road) and an Inside Zone which would bring together kids, youngsters and families in group activities like painting, dancing and fashion shows.
In the first zone, a maze is created right at the entrance of the mall. Families that have shopped in the mall are eligible for participating in it.
The second zone comprises of team building activities which would indulge youngsters in games that enhances team-spirit and provide youngsters a hands-on experience in teamwork.
The third zone ( Inside Zone) would cater to kids and youngsters who are creative. It has tasks like painting, dancing and fashion. The age group here is limited from five to 17. There are prizes for every task. Rush to Garuda Mall between 11 am to 7 pm and take part in the fun.
