Army Public School celebrated the silver jubilee of its governing body — the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES)— with a variety of activities. The activities were conducted for an entire week which ended on April 29.
The events on the concluding day of the festivities began with an assembly during which talks were delivered by teachers and students and a quiz pertaining to the occasion was conducted. Painting competitions were held for the junior classes. The senior classes enjoyed a session of challenging and keenly-contested debate and quiz competitions which enthralled the audience. The students drew inspiration from the lofty ideals embodied in the motto of the AWES, ‘Truth is God’, reminiscent of the ideology of the Father of the Nation.
The teachers have been enlightening the students about AWES, its various activities, services and institutions during the morning assembly. AWES has been rendering yeoman services to all armed personnel by providing their children the best of education even in the most difficult conditions. It also runs highly acclaimed professional colleges to the benefit of the wards of armymen and women.
