BUZZ IN BANGALORE

Book & art exhibition
The Select Bookshop is organising a exhibition and sale between May 16 to 20 at the Mythic Society, Nrupathunga Road, Bangalore. The exhibition will feature rare and out of print books, antique manuscripts and art by various artists and will  be open between 11 am to 7 pm everyday.
On the May 19 2007, Select Books the publishing  arm of Select Bookshop will  be launching a book titled “Patrick Geddes in India” at 6.30 pm at the same venue.
Ramakrishna Guha, Swathi Ramanathan and Satyaprakash Varanashi will also hold a panel disscussion on Patrick Geddes and his contribution to Indian Cities.
Light musical evening
Bhagavatharu, a cultural organisation, is organising Vaishakha Sanje, an evening of light music by veteran music composer and singer C Ashwath and his team.
Well-known artistes M D Pallavi and Supriya Acharya will sing the heart warming lyrics penned by veteran poets. Upcoming artiste Ravi Murur will also join them in rendering.
The programme begins at Ravindra Kalakshetra on May 13 at 6.30. For tickets contact K Revanna on 94480 77292.
