DFRLs focus on promoting small, cottage industries  
Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL), Mysore, a premier institution for food technology in the country, has undertaken a novel initiative to take its technological advantages to the rural areas.
Govt fine scheme on language schools stayed  
In a major reprieve to institutions which had allegedly violated an undertaking with regard to the language policy, the Karnataka High Court has stayed the State governments voluntary scheme for these schools which provided for payment of a penal fine.
