Applications for JRF

Applications are invited in the prescribed format from eligible candidates for post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DST funded research project entitled 'Sequence Biostratigraphy of Lower Tertiary (Palaeocene) Sediments of the Cauvery Basin, Tamil Nadu, Southern India.

The study involves extensive field work in the Cauvery Basin and laboratory, micropalaeontological and geochemical work in Bangalore and other places.

Essential Qualification: First Class M.Sc., Geology/ Applied Geology/ Marine Geology/ Earth Sciences.

Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of computer software, good oral communication and written skills in English and capability to work with self-initiation.

Emoluments: Rs. 12,000.

Duration of the project: Three years
