He was speaking at the renovation ceremony, installation of Jatilingeshwaraswamy and Kumbhabhishekha of Jatilingeshwaraswamy temple at Mailaganhalli in Gouribidanur taluk on Sunday.
‘Impending danger’
In these days of competition and stress, people have forgotten our ancient values and religion which have been the great foundations of our civilisation since bygone era.
This is a sign of impending danger, he said. It is very important to retain our culture which are already at the verge of extinction, he stated while adding that the onus of protecting our culture, temple and environment lies mainly with the rural people as they are more close to nature, he added.
