Protect religion for your own good

Those who protect religion are in turn protected by religion, said Junior seer of Siddaganga Mutt Sri Siddalingaswami here.

 It is the responsibility of everybody to save our unique ancient culture which is a bundle of great humanitarian values, he added.

 He was speaking at the renovation ceremony, installation of Jatilingeshwaraswamy and Kumbhabhishekha of Jatilingeshwaraswamy temple at Mailaganhalli in Gouribidanur taluk on Sunday.

Impending danger’

In these days of competition and stress, people have forgotten our ancient values and religion which have been the great foundations of our civilisation since bygone era.

This is a sign of impending danger, he said. It is very important to retain our culture which are already at the verge of extinction, he stated while adding that the onus of protecting our culture, temple and environment lies mainly with the rural people as they are more close to nature, he added.

Industrialist and Dharmadarshi G Jaimunirao Shelke assured of providing basic facilities to poor children and also help in renovation of temple along with the support of the local leaders.

Ramesh Rao, R Ranaprathap, Jattojirao Shelke, Subbarao Shelke, Poojari Hanumatharao Shelke, Satuvojirao Shelke, Murappasubbarao Shelke and other dignitaries were present.
Thousands of devotees had gathered to seek Lord’s blessings.
