The Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) of various department held here on Friday, discussed issues such as absence of officers, irregularities in the distribution of food grains, criminal action against ‘Sharanajyoti Institute’ and other aspects.
As usual many officers of government departments remained absent in the KDP meeting.
The departments which play vital role in the development of district. And, the presence of heads of the respective departments with all necessary documents in such meeting was essential.
Instead, their subordinate officers of the respective departments were sent to the meeting.
District-In-charge Minister Appu Pattashetti who observed it and said this unfair system should be stopped. He ordered ZP Chief Executive Officer Rajeev Ranjan to issue notices to officers who stayed away from such an important meeting. MLA Shivaputrappa Desai also regretted over the absence of officers.
Mr Pattanshetti said that there was no dearth of funds to take up various development works including drinking water supply.
But some officers were trying to defame the government in this aspect. “I have been trying to convince ministers of various departments to sanction funds to the district. But the officers are not able achieve their target in time”, he lamented.
