The action of district police inspector K V Shridhar of shifting the office of district Reserve Police team from Betgeri Health Club in City to a place beside Mallasamudra village, is causing a lot of concern to the staff.
There are more than staff in the district Reserve Police team. Residences have been provided to them beside the health club office and on Sambhapur Road.
But, the building has been purchased at the Mallasamudra village, which is seven km away for the office and residential purpose. The staff say that the orders to shift on May, without any prior notice would cause problems to them.
No facilities
As schools, colleges, market, drinking water, hospital, bus stand and other facilities are not easily available at this place, the family members of the staff will have to face problems, they complain.
At present, only staff members have been provided with residences. The other staff members will have to travel to the office four times a day. The staff members feel that the office should be shifted only after all basic facilities are provided at the new place.
