Oil spill: Bikers skid on MG Road
It was skid show on MG Road on Saturday evening as an oil spill near the Bible Society turned out to be a nightmare for two-wheeler riders, many of whom lost balance and fell, DHNS reports from Bangalore. Pillion riders too had their share of injuries. The traffic police only remained mute spectators. Nothing was done to cordon off the area around the spill.

Art row takes serious turn
The controversy in Vadodara over the art exhibition on Saturday took a new turn with the M S University suspending its fine arts department dean Shivaji Panikkar, who went into hiding apparently fearing attack from right wing activists, PTI reports. Panikkar, who was suspended for refusing to obey the university’s order asking for the closure of the exhibition, accused the authorities of acting under pressure from right wing groups and the government.
