Azlan Shah cup: India get bronze
Australia won the 16th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament by beating hosts Malaysia 3-1 in the final on Sunday, while India defeated Asian Games gold medallist South Korea 1-0 in a play-off match and retained their bronze, IANS reports from Ipoh. It was Australia’s fifth title, after having won it in 1983, 1998, 2004 and 2005.

Fresh killings in 'tense' Karachi
Three more people were killed in fresh bloodletting in Karachi where shoot at sight orders were issued against rioters after Sunday’s fierce clashes that left 39 people dead as a united Opposition called a countrywide strike on Tuesday.
Security forces in armoured personnel carriers and pickup trucks patrolled the streets, which were deserted.
