GreenPrint World
GreenPrint is a free paper-saving software. The utility shaves off extra pages when people print from a personal computer. The application, detects and highlights unwanted content, such as banner ads on a Web page that tend to spill over onto extra pages. GreenPrint solves a problem nearly every computer user has experienced: The wasteful pages that seem only to appear after a document has been printed (for example, pages with just a URL, banner ad, legal jargon, or a run-over Excel column). GreenPrint does this by analyzing the document and then highlighting and removing unnecessary pages. It lets users delete images from the printed page and quickly create print-friendly PDF documents. GreenPrint World incorporates an easy to use PDF writer, a print preview called GreenView, and a reporting feature which keeps track of the number of pages, trees, and money saved. GreenPrint aspires for widespread adoption of its product to spare 100 million trees from being chopped down and 300 million tons of greenhouse gases from polluting the atmosphere. Requirements: Windows 2000/XP/Vista, 1GHZ+ Processor 256 MB RAM, .NET Framework 2.0 (installed automatically). The 22.6 MB GreenPrint World 1.0.1 can be downloaded at http://www.printgreener.com/download.html or at http://snipurl.com/greenprint
