Centre has leads on Jaipur blasts: Patil
The government has leads on those who carried out the serial blasts in Jaipur that claimed at least 60 lives and injured over 100 people, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil said on Wednesday.

High explosive RDX was used in the terror strike here, a senior police official said as tell-tale signs pointed towards the involvement of Bangladesh based Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami in the serial blasts.

SC dismisses Shaukat Guru's petition

The Supreme Court today dismissed the petition filed by Parliament attack case convict Shaukat Hussain Guru challenging his ten years imprisonment. Shaukat had contended that he was convicted by the apex court on August four, 2005, under sections 123 (concealing conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the offence for which he was never charged.

The Cricket Board today banned Harbhajan Singh for five one-day internationals for slapping teammate S Sreesanth and warned the spinner of a life ban for any further misconduct on his part. He will miss the forthcoming tri-series in Bangaldesh and two matches of the Asia Cup in Pakistan.
